Back in "da" Day

gendance founder, Elizabeth Barry, is featured to the left as she called out the names of this year's Front-Runners for National Dance Week, NYC at Ailey Studios on May 18th. The event took place as the official kick-off of NDW-NYC and crowds came in drones. The dance floor was blessed by none other than the best, Miss Robin Dunn, as well as Afro-Carribean performers and a DJ equipped with old-school tunes. Today, we thank everyone that showed up at the event and invite them to the culminating performance for NDW-NYC 2010 at Ailey Citigroup Theatre on Saturday, June 12th. Invite your friends. The Disney Week

We are live from the Magic Castle this week, but we do have our gendance hands in a bunch of goodies. For instance, this weekend, Mark Stuart is headlining in a performance in NYC at Manhattan Movement Arts Center. Additionally, we heard that the Ailey Dance Party is flooded with RSVP's for their Tuesday night event to celebrate National Dance Week NYC's kick off and the Ailey 5th Anniversary. gendance will be there with bells on to cover the latest and greatest.

As far as the West Coast, there is very big news to report on Dance Plug, but we'll give you the deets soon enough.
